Hey friends!
I’m officially back from two unforgettable months at the Steiger Missionary School in Germany, and my heart is so full! This time has been all about prioritizing God, leaning into the Holy Spirit, and surrounding myself with a strong community of believers. I can’t even begin to express how amazing it was to be around people who share such a deep passion for reaching the lost.

Each week, we dedicated time to outreach days, taking creative signs out to the streets with questions like, “What is the greatest masterpiece to you?” or “What are you living for?” These questions sparked deep, meaningful conversations with people searching for purpose. We’d use these conversations to share the Gospel and tell people about Jesus in a way that felt real and personal. Stepping out of my comfort zone felt a bit like “stepping out of the boat,” but God showed up in incredible ways! Through these outreaches in Germany and Amsterdam, we shared the Gospel with over 2,500 people, and 68 made the decision to follow Jesus!

One of the highlights was our outreach in Amsterdam. I felt the Holy Spirit guiding each and every conversation there, and it was as though He took over in ways I’d never experienced before. God used me to help bring a daughter back to Him, to make the Holy Spirit known in the hearts of people I spoke to, and to show Jesus’s love as distinct from the “religion” many people associate with Christianity. Each conversation felt blessed and purposeful, and it reminded me just how powerful and loving our God truly is. I was also able to lead worship, serve as a Spanish translator for our Colombia team, and even take part in a dance performance in Amsterdam’s main square—each experience deepened my love for this work.
A huge part of our focus was on the Global Youth Movement, which reaches out to young generations unlikely to step into a church and who often follow along with the world’s flow. This approach to missions—using creativity to reach unreached young people—feels like it was tailor-made for me, and I think it’s quickly becoming my favorite type of ministry work!

Beyond the ministry, God used this time to work on my heart in unexpected ways. He brought healing to brokenness I didn’t even realize I was carrying and lifted away guilt and shame. This season has also given me a fresh perspective on what’s next. And with that… I’m thrilled to share my next step!
InJanuary, I’ll be moving to Minneapolis, Minnesota, to serve as a part-time missionary and communications lead for Steiger. I’ll also be helping encourage and mobilize Steiger’s city movements across the U.S., reaching young people who need to know Jesus. I’d love prayer as I prepare for this big transition!
Prayer Requests:
Provision and Encouragement – I’ll be fundraising to cover my missionary work, looking for part-time or freelance work to meet expenses, and relying on God’s provision every step of the way. If you feel led to support me, my Venmo is @alyssaflores11
Boldness and Wisdom – I’d love prayers for a heart that breaks for the young people I’ll be reaching here in the States and for God to lead me in each new conversation.
Strength and Courage – As I step out in faith, pray that I’d have the courage and support needed for this transition and the energy to embrace the crazy, beautiful life of being a missionary!
To get a better glimpse of my time in Germany, here’s a reel I put together, and a bit of my story was recently featured in Steiger’s recent newsletter.
Thank you for being part of this journey with me! I’m so grateful for each of you, and it means so much to have your encouragement, prayers, and support.
With love and gratitude, Alyssa :)
